That’s the time-frame I’m looking at for being back at the Writers’ Colony at Dairy Hollow in Eureka Springs.
It would be quite an understatement to say I’m ready to be back there. Since I’ve been home after being there a week in June, I have only written a chapter and a couple pages on “Devon’s Wish.”
In June, I was there 7 days. Two of those days were in some of the worst pain I can ever remember in my life. (Don’t sprain your back. I don’t recommend it at ALL.) Still, in those days, I managed to do seven chapters.
Yes, you read correctly. Seven chapters.
How? I wasn’t working on anything else. That was all I was focused on. I didn’t have to worry about transcription or housework or anything else.
Writing and marketing. That’s what my job consisted of for that week.

My goals for the stay from September 18 to October 11?
1. Finish the rough draft of “Devon’s Wish.”
2. Edit “Kiernan’s Curse.”
I think it’s do-able. Especially since I’m somewhere in chapter 9 of DW.
